There can be a great difference in the amount of skin and fat to be removed in this procedure. These pictures demonstrate some of what can be achieved. Often the initial result does not represent what the final result will be, and occasionally a second, touch-up surgery is done.
Patient #1 - This 38 year old male was 5'10" and weight 170 pounds. However, he had previously been as heavy as 290 pounds. The weight loss occurred through diet and exercise.

Patient #2 - This 60 year old female had undergone a gastric bypass procedure to deal with her 300 pounds. At the time of surgery she was 5'8" tall and weighed 215 pounds. Tissue removed weighed 2,387 grams (about 5.26 pounds).

Patient #3 - A 24 year old female standing 5'3" tall and weighing 165 pounds had 1,100 grams (2.42 pounds) of skin and fat removed.

Patient #4 - This 65 year old female was 5'4" and 224 pounds. She also had an abdominal hernia which was repaired when 3,950 grams (8.71 pounds) was removed.

Patient #5 - 43 year old female, 5'0" and 160 pounds, had 1,615 grams (3.56 pounds) removed. Post-op photos taken early after surgery.

Patient #6 - 31 year old female, 5'5" and 175 pounds, with removal of 1,600 grams (3.53 pounds).
